Brief history of the Internet and Web browsers

The birth of the internet began in the 1960’s; this took place in several different places simultaneously. Each person that assisted with this invention their roles includes computer programmers, and scientist. They were able to make computers talk to each other and communicate, later Vinton Cerf   created a way that all computers were able to be communicate with each other on the same network. Thus the internet was born and is a even larger system today used all over the world by billions.

My definition of a Web Browser would be software that allows you to retrieve information from multiple places at once. The history of web browsers started with only one web browser which was Netscape back in the 1990’s. This was then re-developed over the years and now we have many different web browsers that we use every day. These may include Google, Firefox, chrome, linked -in, and internet explorer.

Email

what is Email, a form of communication as well, however via a personal or provided email account. Email stands for electronic mail in which users can communicate with each other electronically through a computer, telephone and even a tablet.  The first email was sent back in 1971 by Ray Tomlinson, since then the use and the number of emails have increased tremendously.  In order for a email to work it must include 3 things who( which may be a person, place, or department), the @ symbol ( needed in order for this to work), and where ( may be a company, or personal email account). These 3 things allow us to send messages, pictures, documents, and letters to each other, that will arrive in a matter of seconds.  Without the @ symbol in your email it will not send to the recipient, this was developed again by Ray Tomlinson which is sent via SMTP or simple transfer mail protocol. This is required to send your email, while a different format is required to receive. These formats may include POP ( post office protocol) or IMAP ( Internet message access protocol), check out these websites for more information on these.
